Mrs. Elisa Gail Martin, age 44, Ekron, KY, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.  Mrs. Martin was a member of Grace Awakening Church and the Brandenburg Church of God.  She is survived by her Husband, William Lee Martin, Brandenburg, KY, two children, William Lee (Korey) Martin, Jr. Brandenburg, KY, Misty Dawn (Cory) Trent, Ekron, KY, three grandchildren, Faith Maria Martin, Kylee Marie Martin, William Hayden Martin, her parents, Richard Wickins, Lakeland, FL, Elizabeth Hardesty, Underwood, IN, and a brother, Dr. Charles Luff, Italy.  Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Sister Robin Brown, officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 PM on Thursday and after 10:00 Am on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hager Funeral Home, to aid with funeral expenses.

Ethel Lucille Ditto

Miss Ethel Lucille Ditto, age 68, Ekron, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012, at the Summerfield Health and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville, KY.  She was born July 18, 1943, the daughter of Ernest Lawyer "Sam" and Sallie Frances Banks Ditto.  Miss Ditto was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church, the Zion Grove Missionary Society, the Sisters of Zion, the Zion Grove Mass Choir, the Order of the Easter Star, #131, and the Kentucky Black Farmers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Chester Ditto and a grandson, Montrell Mucker.  Miss Ditto is survived by three children, Cassandra Maxwell, Fayetteville, NC, Clayton Ditto, Ekron, KY, Shahera Brown, Louisville, KY, two grandchildren, Christopher Maxwell and Donche' Singleton, two sisters, Daisy (James) Freeman, Mildred Ditto, three brothers, Claude (Betty) Banks, Wesley (Angie) Keyes and Lawyer Ditto and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2012, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Glen Gordon, officiating.  Burial will be in Zion Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-9 PM on Friday.

Emma Frances McCallister Logsdon

Mrs. Emma Frances McCallister Logsdon, age 87, of Guston, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2011, at North Hardin Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Radcliff, KY.  Mrs. Logsdon was preceded in death by her husband, Marion E. "Doc" Logsdon, a daughter, Linda O'Banion, a great grandson, Sean Robinson, four brothers, Talmadge, Vernell, Luale and Huey McCallister and a sister, Monette Turner.  She is survived by two children, Marion E. "Sonny" Logsdon, Ekron, KY, Charlotte Ann Farris, Guston, KY, four sisters, Doris Meredith, Bertha Lee, both of Houston County, AL, Addie Mae Thompson, Evelyn Walters, both of Auburndale, FL, 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with burial in Big Spring Methodist Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday and after 9:00 AM on Saturday from the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.

Donald Kenneth Morgan, Jr.

Mr. Donald Kenneth Morgan, Jr., age 69, Somerset, KY, formerly of Meade County, died, Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Kenneth Morgan, Sr. and Louella Sonner.  He is survived by several half brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Bridge, officiating.  Burial will be private.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 12:00 Noon on Monday.

Helen Rose Burris Higdon

Mrs. Helen Rose Burris Higdon, age 69, Hardinsburg, KY, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012, at Kindred Healthcare in Louisville, KY.  Mrs. Higdon was a member of the Brandenburg Moose Lodge and of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Leonard and Helen Rose Yeager Burris, her husband, David Marion Higdon, Sr. and a grandson, Christopher Daniel Hardesty.  Mrs. Higdon is survived by two children, David M. Higdon, Jr. and Michelle Smith, both of Hardinsburg, KY, four grandchildren, Tiffani Renee Higdon, Leitchfield, KY, Brittany Mattingly, Custer, KY, Brandi Hardesty, Brandenburg, KY, Christopher Anthony Morton, Irvington, KY, a great grandson, Connor Gage Mattingly, Custer, KY, three brothers, Mike, Leonard and Paul Burris, all of Louisville, KY, an aunt, Merle Farris, Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with burial in Parr-Frans Cemetery in Battletown, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM EST on Wednesday and after 9:00 AM on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Mildred May Bennett Allen, age 82, Irvington, KY, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012, at her residence.  Mrs. Allen was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Irvington.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen, a daughter, Phyllis Allen, two grandchildren, Melissa Allen and David Wayne Allen, two brothers, Joseph and Chester Bennett, a half brother, Arlie Bennett and a half sister, Elizabeth Bennett Cook.  Mrs. Allen is survived by seven children, Robert "Bob" (Connie) Allen, Rodney (Jeannie) Allen, Guston, KY, Carolyn A. (Doyle) Lundy, Brooks, KY, Barbara Allen, James "Brad" (Angie) Allen, both of Brandenburg, KY, Trudy (Willis) Justis, Brenda (Darvin) Eirwin, both of Evansville, IN,  two sisters, Marie Gipson, Corydon, IN, Louise Troutman, Brandenburg, KY, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday from the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Brother Tom Smith, officiating.  Burial will be in Marve Bennett Cemetery in Battletown, KY.   Visitation will be held from 11-9 PM on Wednesday and after 9:00 AM on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky or to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Baby Khloe Margaret Vann of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.  Khloe is survived by her parents, Tim and Ginny Vann, Vine Grove, KY, a brother, Klayton and a sister, Kenna, her maternal grandparents, COL Patrick and Christy Burns, Blythewood, SC, her paternal grandparents, Dale and Lynn Vann, Meade County, KY, three great grandmothers, Jennie Pettit, Princeton, KY, Zellena Tullos, Houston, TX, Dorothy Vann, Livingston, TX, an aunt, Christina Vann, Meade County, KY, an uncle, Jared (Angela) Burns, Blythewood, SC and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2012 from the Buck Grove Cemetery in Ekron, KY.  Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg has been entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Bertram Jackson Green, age 85, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Norton Medical Pavillion, Hosparus-in-patient unit.   Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Sylvia Green, a son, Bernie Green, a brother, Lester Green and a sister, Delma Lee Green.  He is survived by his wife, Nellie Singleton Green and a brother, Glenn Green and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Parr-Frans Cemetery in Battletown, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning after 10:00 AM on Monday.

George Garrett Kitzero

Mr. George Garrett Kitzero, age 74, Payneville, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at his residence.  Mr. Kitzero was a long time member of Lincoln Trail Antique Power of the Past.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan and a grandson, Cory Spurgeon.  Mr. Kitzero is survived by three daughters, Margaret Ann (Tommy) Hardesty, Lavern Stewart, both of Payneville, KY, Karen Sue (Nick) Sewell, Battletown, KY, a son, Clayton G. (Gina) Kitzero, Alabama, seven grandchildren, a great grandchild and a special friend, Jean Thompson, Vine Grove, KY.  Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday.

Robert L. "Brownie" Brown

Mr. Robert L. "Brownie" Brown, age 82, Guston, KY, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011, at his son's residence in Cox's Creek.  Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Meade County Cattleman's Association and a Master Conservationist.  He was retired from L & N Railroad, Olin Chemical Company, and had been a farmer in Meade County since the early 60's. He was born December 25, 1928, the son of Lovelace Otto and Annie Brown.  Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Brown, a granddaughter, Kate Brown and a sister, Aquilla Brown.  Mr. Brown is survived by 2 Sons, Danny (Brenda) Brown, Brandenburg, KY and Billy (Fay) Brown, Cox's Creek, KY, Four Grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Lauren Brown, Michael (Melissa) Bishoff, and Amanda Pedigo, Three Great-grandchildren, Kadynce Pedigo, Aaden Pedigo, and Desirea Bishoff, One Brother, Jesse (Mary) Brown and a sister-in-law, Lorene Barton.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home with burial in Salem Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until 4 PM and 5 until 8 PM on Tuesday and from 9 until 11 AM Wednesday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus or the American Cancer Society.

Megan Elizabeth Lasley

Miss Megan Elizabeth Lasley, age 22, and her unborn baby, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on December 8, 2011, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Megan was a 2007 graduate of Meade County High School, where she was a very active member of the MCHS Marching and Pep Bands and also an active member of the drama club.  Megan was also a member of the LAE Criminal Justice Society at Eastern Kentucky University.  She is survived by her parents, James Roger and Cletus Marie Lasley, Brandenburg, KY, two sisters, Melanie Kay (Jeremiah) Ludeman, Irvington, KY, Tiffany Lasley Webb, Osseo, WI, her grandmother, Grace "Nanny" Rollman, her grandfather, Charles Lasley and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with burial in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday.
